    Catering to both staff and patients/families, Sprout Gift Co. is truly the heartbeat of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. The store is a welcoming oasis for friends and family featuring the latest in unique, hand-picked merchandise, gifts, and personal items. All products have been selected from quality suppliers and volunteer-led customer service is provided in a family-friendly environment. Flowing through Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, 100% of net proceeds stay in Saskatchewan and support priority needs at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and across our province.

    Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    Saturday to Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    Closed stat holidays.

    Sprout Gift Co. is located within lobby area of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital on the main floor. The hospital is located at:103 Hospital Dr.

  • How we staff the store
    Sprout Gift Co. is staffed by one full-time Gift Shop Manager and one part-time employee. Remaining store hours are staffed by a roster of dedicated volunteers.

How to Get Involved

  • How to become a volunteer
    Are you interested in volunteering at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation? It’s so easy to make a difference in the lives of Saskatchewan kids and families. To get involved, head to pattisonchildrens.ca and fill out the Volunteer Form HERE.Please note, as volunteers at Sprout Gift Co who will handle money, work with sensitive and/or private material, and work around children, all volunteers must be 18-years of age or older and pass a criminal records check. You must be a Canadian citizen in order to require PRC. References and a level five English, written and spoken is also required.

 

Where Does My Money Go

  • What does my money go towards?
    100% of net proceeds stay in Saskatchewan and support urgent maternal and pediatric needs at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and across our province. Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation focuses on three critical fundraising priorities: equipment and technology enhancements, family-centred care, and research and innovation.Learn more about where your funds go.

 

Patient Information

  • Do I need a room number?
    Yes. To have items delivered within Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, the full patient’s name and department is required along with the room number to verify that we have identified the correct patient.To find the patient room number, please call 306-655-3200
  • What if I have the room number but not the patient name?
    If we have a room number but no name we cannot confirm delivery.
  • What if the patient has already been discharged, or has passed away?
    In this situation we can issue you a full refund. However, we cannot refund cards as they are final sale.
  • What if the patient is in an area of the hospital where they cannot receive gifts (such as isolation)
    Your gift will be handed off to staff in the unit to be given at their discretion.
  • Can I send a small message with my gift?
    You can purchase a card and write a message to be included with your gift. Please note that all cards are final sale.
  • What if the patient has allergies?
    If there are any patient allergies, please let us know and we will work with hospital staff to ensure the gift is appropriate and safe for the patient.

Delivery/Pickup Questions

  • Shipping costs
    We currently do not have at home shipping available. Delivery can only be made to the patient’s room within Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.
  • Do you deliver on the weekends?
    Delivery within the hospital is available on the weekend during regular business hours.

What about stat holidays? No. Sprout Gift Co. is closed on stat holidays.

  • How will I know when my order has been delivered?
    You will receive updates via email about your order and the status of delivery.
  • What is your cut off time for same day delivery?
    Our cut-off time for same day delivery (within the hospital) is 12PM local time. Orders place after 12PM may still be delivered the same day, but it is not guaranteed for delivery until the next day.
  • How long will my item be held for pickup?
    Unpaid items will be held until the end of day on the same day that the order was made. Items that have been paid for will be held for up to three days following purchase.

Product Questions

  • Are sale items final sale?
    Sale items will be final sale.
  • What happens if something is out of stock?
    If the item you are looking for is out of stock, please give our gift shop a call. Our gift shop staff can let you know when the item is expected to be back in stock or can help you find another item that would be a fitting substitute.
  • Do you have themed gift baskets? (i.e. baby bereavement kits, chemotherapy kits,

Payment Questions

  • Can I use an international credit card/billing address to place an order?
    Yes.
  • Can I use a prepaid or VISA gift card to pay?
    Yes.
  • What kind of payment methods are accepted online?
    VISA/MC/AMEX are all accepted method of payments online.
  • What kind of payment methods are accepted in store?
    We accept cash, debit, VISA/MC/AMEX, Sprout gift certificates, Visa gift cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • What is your gift certificates policy?
    Sprout Gift Co. gift certificates do not have an expiry date and there are no fees associated with purchasing or using them.The gift certificates are single use only and cannot have additional funds added to them.There is an amount minimum of $10 for gift certificates.
  • What is your refund/replacement policy?
    We can issue a full refund for items purchase with the exception of sale items and cards.
  • Can I purchase over the phone?
    Yes, purchases can be made over the phone during regular business hours. Payments can be made with credit card only.
  • Can I make a donation at the same time?
    Yes, when you are going through the checkout process, you will be prompted to make a donation at the same time.
